Thank you for your interest in the GOLF CONNECT®  nationwide network of golf tours. If you plan on participating in a tournament, it is important that you read the following information.  It is your responsibility to know the rules and regulations concerning participation in an event.

CONDITIONS OF PLAY
The
Tour reserves the right to decline any entry.  Any person whose entry is accepted shall be subject to the rules and conditions of play set forth by the Tour.  The Tour or the hosting course reserves the right to shorten or end any competition due to weather or other conditions warranting such action.  Any act of unsportsmanlike conduct, as written in the Tour Conduct Policy stated below, will be cause for removal from a tournament.

GOLF CONNECT®  Golf Tour
CONDUCT POLICY
By submitting an entry, or by participating in any
Tour competition, the player understands that their participation is at the sole discretion of the Tour.  The players entry may be rejected for any event, at the discretion of the Tournament Director, at any time before the close of the competition (as defined in the USGA Rules of Golf Book - Rule 34-1b).  Unbecoming conduct or actions at any Tour event, or conduct or action deemed detrimental to the Tour,
other golfers or staff, the spirit of the game, or to the host facilities are ground for such rejection.  These include, but are not limited to:

1. Cheating.
2. Inappropriate golf attire.
3. Alcohol and/or substance impaired behavior.
4. Willful destruction of golf course or Tour property.
5. Abusive language, conduct or derogatory criticism of the Tour and/or host facility staff, volunteers, or other players.
6. Club throwing and/or physical derangement or threat of others.
7. Offensive or excessively loud behavior.
8. Repeated withdrawals, no shows, or no cards turned in after the completion of a round.

All play is governed by the most recent USGA Rules of Golf for stroke play (or scramble). All players are expected to be familiar with and abide by th
e USGA Rules of Golf.  This includes using equipment (e.g. drivers) that complies with USGA rules.  Equipment may be inspected on the first tee by one of our officials.

TOURNAMENT INFORMATION
Information concerning tee times, pre-registration, starting times, tournament location, etc. will be posted on the website no later than 3 days prior to the date of the tournament.

Tee box assignments will be listed on your scorecard that you receive when you sign in at the course.

For the enjoyment of all, an appropriate pace of play must be maintained. The Tour utilizes a Pace of Play Time Card System.  It is expected that all groups will remain within 10 minutes of the group in front of them. It is our goal to have groups finish the round in less than 4.5 hours (an average of 15 minutes per hole).  Groups that arrive on the tee more than 10 minutes behind the prior group will be issued a warning. Group time on the tee will be checked again in 2 holes. Upon second infraction of being more than 10 minutes behind, the group in violation will be required to skip that hole and be assessed a par +2 score for that hole or (if course volume permits) allowed to return after hole 18 to play that hole at no penalty.

Players are required to switch scorecards with the other team on the first tee.  Keep all players and both team scores on BOTH scorecards.

All players must have completed a tournament entry application.

White stakes are out of bounds. You must replay your ball from where the stroke was taken. Please play a provisional if you think it may be OB.

For etiquette purposes, do not talk or move while another player is addressing their ball or swinging.

You may file a complaint against another player after the round at the registration table or onine via email after the event. If (3) complaints are filed against any one player, that player will not be allowed to participate in future events.d

Smoking is discouraged but if you do smoke, please be courteous and do not expose fellow players to the secondary smoke.

All issues regarding rules violations will be presented to the
Tour Board of Directors for a ruling.
