Tournament Format

Tournament Format

All tournaments, unless otherwise noted, will be played as a two person best-ball format.

Two Person Best-ball Format

Both players will golf a full 18 holes using their own ball throughout.  At the end of the round the team will use the best individual hole score for each hole to determine their team best ball score.  This team best ball score will be the score that determines prize placement with each flight.  Each individual's score will be used for handicap purposes.

Flights:

All players will be flighed into one of these five flights below.  The MGT Handicap required for each flight will be as listed in the table below, unless changes need to be made because there aren't enough players in a particular flight.

Players will only be competing against other players within their respective flight for purposes of the Flight Prize Pool.  This is done to keep competition fair for all golfers as not everyone is at the same skill level.

Teams will be flighted based on the lowest MGT Handicap on the team.

(Ex. - If one person has a PGA flight handicap and the other has an Amateur flight handicap, the team will be competing in the PGA Flight for that tournament. )

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Note- New golfers to the tour will establish a MGT Handicap after one event.  New golfers to the tour will golf in the "Open Flight" unless an established USGA Handicap can be proven at least 2 days prior to a tournament.  Email info@milwaukeegolftour.com with questions on this.

Flight Prize Pool

The payout of for the Flight Prize Pool will be based on how many people are golfing in each flight.  To keep it competitive we will try not to have flights of less than 3 teams.

Each person is eligible to play for the Flight Prize Pool.  On that same note, one person from a team may enter the Flight Prize Pool even if his teammate does not.  If only one person from a team participates he will only win half of what the team prize would be and the other winners will be paid accordingly.
